An investigation is underway following the death of a truck driver delivering goods to Vestas' blade manufacturing facility in Nakskov, Denmark. The fatal incident occurred on Thursday morning involving the driver from one of Vestas' suppliers.
A spokesperson for Vestas stated, “A truck driver delivering goods from our supplier was involved in a tragic incident at our Nakskov factory site, resulting in fatal injuries. Vestas would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and coworkers of the affected person. We will work closely with the supplier and the transportation company to investigate the accident.”
Local police have indicated that the victim's next of kin, who are overseas, have not yet been informed. The police also confirmed, “There is no danger to other employees” at the facility.
