US-based renewables developer Elio Energy Group LLC and Italian firm Redelfi SpA have launched Redelio Renewables LLC, a new joint venture aimed at developing up to 2.4 GW of battery storage projects across the United States, the companies announced on Tuesday.
Redelio Renewables will leverage the strengths of both partners: Genoa-based Redelfi will manage financing, project management, financial oversight, and development monitoring, while Elio will oversee technical and operational aspects. The platform kicks off with a robust 920-MW pipeline spanning Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, and Kansas.
CEO of Elio Group, Daven Mehta, expressed optimism about the venture, stating, “The establishment of Redelio Renewables aligns with our goal to deliver excellence across projects and is a testament to our ongoing efforts in identifying key markets and working closely with the local communities to ensure long-term success.”
Redelfi SpA currently manages active pipelines of 1.2 GW in the US and 4.3 GW in Italy, complementing Elio Group's 7 GW renewable energy pipeline in the United States.
