Energinet has awarded tenders to investigate wind conditions at five future offshore wind farms located within Denmark's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), as part of efforts by the Danish Energy Agency to advance renewable energy projects.
The assessments, entrusted to Energinet, will focus on North Sea 1, Kattegat, Hesselo South, Kriegers Flak 2 North, and Kriegers Flak 2 South. EMD International and C2Wind have been selected to conduct wind condition measurements at these sites.
EMD International will assess wind conditions in the North Sea 1 and Kattegat areas, utilizing Metocean measurements provided by Energinet and other relevant stations. Meanwhile, C2Wind will undertake similar tasks for Kriegers Flak 2 North, Kriegers Flak 2 South, and the North Sea 1 area.
The findings from these assessments will be documented in detailed reports for each area, which will subsequently undergo certification by independent third parties. These reports are crucial components of the technical groundwork essential for future public tenders aimed at developing the offshore wind farms.
