Wind turbine maker Nordex Group has announced a robust performance in the first half of 2024, securing orders totaling 3,357 megawatts (MW) in its projects division, marking a 27% increase from the previous year's figure of 2,641 MW.
In the second quarter alone, Nordex recorded orders amounting to 1,271 MW, down from 1,620 MW in the same period last year. The average sales price remained stable at €0.89 million per MW for the first half of the year, rising slightly to €0.96 million per MW in Q2 2024, the company stated.
During the January to June period, Nordex received orders for 602 turbines across projects spanning 17 countries. The company highlighted Germany, South Africa, Lithuania, and Turkey as its strongest individual markets.
José Luis Blanco, Chief Executive of Nordex Group, expressed satisfaction with the first-half order intake, emphasizing their ability to maintain stable pricing. Blanco noted, “The strong demand for our N163 turbines, both in Europe and globally, reaffirms our confidence in meeting our order intake targets for the remainder of this year.”
