Capstone Infrastructure Corporation and Sawridge First Nation have jointly commissioned four wind farms in Alberta, marking a significant addition to the province's renewable energy capacity.
Located near Jenner, the Buffalo Atlee 1, 2, 3, and 4 sites now boast a combined capacity of 61 MW, capable of annually powering approximately 26,000 homes and cutting around 93,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
Two of these facilities, Buffalo Atlee 2 and 4, have secured a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gibson Energy Inc, ensuring stable revenue streams for the projects.
This development underscores Capstone Infrastructure's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to Alberta's clean energy goals.
