Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs unveiled the rankings of applicants for the country's Round 3.2 offshore wind tender on Thursday, with six companies vying for project allocations.
The list includes units of Synera Renewable Energy, previously known as Swancor Renewable Energy, as well as Denmark's Orsted and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP).
According to the ministry, the ranked developers are: Youde Wind Power Co Ltd, Haiguang Power Generation Co Ltd, Greater Changhua Northeast Offshore Wind Power Co Ltd, Feng Miao No 2 Offshore Wind Power Co Ltd, Haidingyi Wind Power Co Ltd, and Deshuai Wind Power Co Ltd.
In a statement, the ministry clarified that specific capacity allocations are pending due to overlapping project site scopes, with notifications expected to be issued “as soon as possible.”
Synera acknowledged its ranking separately, highlighting its 800-MW Formosa 6 project off Changhua County as achieving recognition and excelling in evaluations. Taiwan's current installed wind power capacity stands at 2.69 GW, the ministry added.
