A subsidiary of Canadian Solarhas been chosen to develop three battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Nova Scotia, collectively providing a direct-current (DC) capacity of 150 MW/705 MWh.
The contract, inked by e-STORAGE with Nova Scotia Power, encompasses engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, alongside long-term service agreements (LTSA), according to a press statement released today.
The BESS facilities will be situated in Bridgewater, Waverley, and White Rock. The initial BESS is slated to commence operations in 2025, with the entire project scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
e-STORAGE, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar's majority-owned CSI Solar Co Ltd, has already delivered over 5 GWh of BESS solutions across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region.
