Canadian Solar Unit to Construct Three Battery Energy Storage Systems in Nova Scotia

A subsidiary of Canadian Solarhas been chosen to develop three battery systems (BESS) in , collectively providing a direct-current (DC) capacity of 150 MW/705 MWh.

The contract, inked by with Nova Scotia Power, encompasses engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, alongside long-term service agreements (LTSA), according to a press statement released today.

The BESS facilities will be situated in Bridgewater, Waverley, and White Rock. The initial BESS is slated to commence operations in 2025, with the entire project scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.

e-STORAGE, a subsidiary of Canadian 's majority-owned CSI Solar Co Ltd, has already delivered over 5 GWh of BESS solutions across , Europe, and the Asia Pacific region.
