Nordex has announced significant orders totaling 245 MW from its core markets in France and Türkiye, underscoring its strategic growth in renewable energy.
By the end of June 2024, Nordex finalized contracts for 17 projects across the two countries. In France, the company will supply 35 turbines for nine projects ranging from 3 MW to 4 MW in capacity.
In Türkiye, customers have ordered nine N163/6.X turbines and an additional nine turbines in the 4 MW and 5 MW classes for eight projects, totaling 113 MW.
The agreements also include service contracts, ensuring continuous operational support post-installation throughout 2024 and into 2025.
Simultaneously, Nordex is expanding its footprint in North America by restarting production at its Iowa facility. The plant in West Branch will manufacture nacelles for both the existing N163 model and a new variant customized for the US market.
Production capacities are slated to ramp up in the first half of 2025 to meet increasing demand.
