AMEA Power, a Dubai-headquartered developer and operator of renewable energy projects, has been selected to build a 100-MW solar farm in the Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville.
The company formalized its commitment through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Congo-Brazzaville, as announced in a social media post on Thursday during the Africa Energy Forum held in Spain.
AMEA Power specializes in delivering renewable energy projects across Africa, the Middle East, and other emerging markets.
Recently, the company achieved financial closure on another significant project, the 120-MW Doornhoek solar photovoltaic (PV) project in South Africa. This venture secured USD 100 million (EUR 93.4 million) in debt funding from Standard Bank South Africa earlier this month.
