Antaisolar and Bahra Electric to Establish Solar Tracker Joint Venture in Saudi Arabia

, a leading Chinese provider of PV mounting system solutions, has entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement with 's Bahra Electric to manufacture trackers and mounting solutions within the Kingdom. The partnership was announced in a social media post by Antaisolar, detailing plans to establish the new company and factory in Jeddah, a strategic port city on the Red Sea.

Leveraging Bahra Electric's expansive presence and a vast 500,000 square meter facility in Jeddah, the joint venture aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 8 GW by 2025, scaling up to 15 GW by 2026 and 24 GW by 2027.

“This new company will focus on maximizing local content and addressing utility-scale project challenges across design, manufacturing, logistics, and maintenance,” stated Antaisolar in their announcement.

The move marks Antaisolar's strategic expansion into the , positioning the new factory as a pivotal manufacturing and service hub for the region's burgeoning solar energy sector.

Saudi Arabia has been accelerating its solar energy ambitions, with Riyadh-based developer recently securing multiple power purchase agreements (PPAs) for new solar projects totaling 5.5 GW. Earlier this year, ACWA Power also finalized financing for an additional 4.5 GW across three solar projects, underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to renewable energy development.
