Singapore's Sembcorp Industries Ltd has secured a major agreement with global biopharma leader GSK Plc to supply up to 10 MW of power and renewable energy certificates (RECs) for GSK's operations in Singapore.
Under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) signed by Sembcorp Power Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, GSK's three manufacturing sites in Singapore will receive electricity equivalent to 87,600 MWh annually starting January 1, 2025.
The initiative also includes the provision of up to 87,600 MWh of RECs annually from Sembcorp's solar projects, enabling GSK to achieve its goal of sourcing 100% renewable power for its Singapore operations by 2025.
