has announced the commencement of commercial operations at its two farms, La Loma and Fundacion, adding a total of 240 MWac to Colombia's power system.

La Loma, boasting a net capacity of 150 MWac, was inaugurated earlier this year and stands as Colombia's largest centrally dispatched solar farm. Spanning 387 hectares and featuring 400,000 panels, the facility is projected to generate approximately 420 GWh annually, sufficient to power around 600,000 homes. Enel Colombia highlighted the significance of La Loma's operational milestone in enhancing the country's renewable energy landscape.

The Fundacion solar farm, with a capacity of 90 MWac, began producing power in August 2023 and is expected to contribute approximately 267 GWh annually.

Enel Colombia's solar initiatives, including the El Paso project, now account for over 34% of Colombia's solar power generation in 2024
