NextEra Energy Resources, LLC has initiated the construction of a new 310-megawatt solar project in Bosque County, Texas, USA. The groundbreaking for the INEOS Hickerson Solar project was announced today by Ineos Olefins & Polymers USA and NextEra Energy Resources, LLC.
The solar project, located in Bosque County, will be constructed, owned, and operated by a NextEra Energy Resources subsidiary. It is expected to commence commercial operations by December 2025.

The entire output of the INEOS Hickerson Solar project will be dedicated to supplying Ineos Olefins & Polymers (O&P) USA, covering the net purchased electricity load for all 14 of Ineos O&P USA's manufacturing, fractionation, and storage facilities.
Ineos CEO Mike Nagle emphasized the significance of the solar project in the company's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, stating, “This solar project is a crucial step in our global efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of Ineos businesses.”
