PNE, the Cuxhaven-based energy company, has initiated a tender scheme inviting industrial consumers in Germany to submit proposals for renewable electricity purchases from its renewable energy plants.
The company's tender process, aimed at companies seeking to procure green electricity through long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), will accept price proposals starting this June, with a completion target by October.

During the tender process, the terms and prices of the PPAs will be established, offering industrial consumers a range of options to choose from to meet their specific needs.
PNE's initiative, supported by Berlin-based energy market consultancy Enervis, is expected to see the company generate over 300 gigawatt hours per year from 2026. These outputs will come from five portfolios ranging from 32 to 124 gigawatt hours per year, encompassing both wind and solar farms.

Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE, emphasized the benefits of the new approach, stating, “Until now, it has been customary for electricity customers to put a PPA request on the market and obtain offers. We turn this process around and offer the industry a variety of different PPA options from which they can determine the right product for themselves.”
He highlighted the advantages of PNE's PPAs, including reliable power supply, long-term price security, and support for sustainability goals, all tailored to meet the needs of industrial customers.
Roland Stanze, Head of Commercial Solutions at PNE, expressed optimism about the initiative's potential to strengthen their industrial network, stating, “It is a win-win situation for the electricity customers and for PNE, and an important building block for the strategic expansion of our IPP activities.”
