Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) recently granted a €38 million green loan to Solarpack through a special purpose vehicle, aimed at facilitating the establishment of a 54MW solar plant in the region of Murcia, Spain.
The financing arrangement, structured as a green facilities agreement, is intended to support the construction, development, and operation of the solar project, which is currently in a ready-to-build status. By investing in sustainable energy initiatives, the partnership between BBVA and Solarpack seeks to contribute to Spain's ongoing efforts to embrace renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions.
