OX2, a renewable energy company, has recently finalized a significant 27MW order with Vestas for the Eolia wind park situated in the Apulia Region of Italy. The contract encompasses the supply and installation of six V150-4.5MW wind turbines, accompanied by a 35-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
Expressing his satisfaction, Paul Stormoen, Chief Executive of OX2, stated, “We are really pleased to have signed this order. It is an important step in realizing our first wind power project in Italy. We are looking forward to continuing to expand in the market and realize many more projects.”

The order marks a significant achievement for Vestas, as Francesco Amati, General Manager for Italy & Turkey at Vestas, highlighted, “This order represents the longest service agreement ever signed by Vestas in Italy, a milestone that showcases how Vestas, by leveraging its industry-leading service capabilities, can optimize lifetime performance and improve business case certainty for its customers in one of Europe's largest wind markets.”

Turbine delivery is projected to take place in the first half of 2024, with commissioning scheduled for the second half of the same year. This order not only strengthens Vestas' position as a leader in Italy's wind energy sector but also underscores its impressive track record, having installed over 5.1GW of wind capacity in the country since 1991.
