Repsol has recently unveiled its plans to develop a significant number of renewable projects in Italy, amounting to a total of 1768MW. By incorporating these projects into its portfolio, the multi-energy company will enhance its collection of renewable sites with 943MW of wind facilities and 825MW of photovoltaic solar facilities.
Repsol has made noteworthy progress in Italy, with over 60% of its projects in the country being at an advanced stage of development. Recognizing the immense potential in Italy, the company has strategically focused its international expansion on this market, as it holds a pivotal position in Europe's key markets and can contribute to Repsol's goal of becoming a prominent global player in renewable energy.

The portfolio that Repsol has acquired includes projects obtained through the recent acquisition of Asterion Energies in Italy, in addition to several other projects located in regions such as Puglia, Lazio, Sardinia, Umbria, Sicily, Basilicata, Molise, and Tuscany.
In the near future, Repsol intends to commence the construction of its initial two photovoltaic solar plants in Italy. These plants, with a combined capacity of 11MW, will be situated in the southern region of Puglia.
