Correll Group Awarded Contract for Cable Installation at Calvados Offshore Wind Farm

Engineering services provider, Correll Group, has recently been granted a contract to offer crucial support for the pull-in and installation of two export cables at the substation platform for the Calvados offshore wind farm in .

Working alongside , Correll will provide assistance in the installation of two 225kV HVAC export cables, each spanning approximately 17.5km, connecting to the offshore substation for the ambitious 448MW development.

The Calvados offshore wind project consists of 64 GE Haliade 150-6MW series turbines, strategically positioned over 10km away from the Bessin coastline. The offshore site is being developed by Éolien Maritime France (), a joint venture between EDF Renewables and Enbridge.

In 2012, the French Government awarded EMF the tender for the Calvados project, in addition to the 498MW Fécamp and the 480MW Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farms, further demonstrating their commitment to .

The commissioning of the Calvados offshore wind farm is scheduled for 2024, marking a significant milestone in France's renewable energy goals.
