SirajPower, a UAE-based distributed solar company, has announced the completion of its latest solar rooftop project at Al Tajir Glass Industries' manufacturing facility in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. The fully financed and operated 2.9-megawatt peak (MWp) solar plant is expected to generate an impressive 4.6-gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean energy annually, according to a press statement released by the solar company.
In addition to the significant amount of clean energy generated, the solar plant will offset over 2,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. The successful completion of this project is yet another example of SirajPower's commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions across the UAE.
The UAE has been at the forefront of the global shift towards renewable energy in recent years, and the completion of this solar rooftop project is another significant milestone in this regard. In fact, at the end of 2022, Dubai's rooftop photovoltaic (PV) solar capacity under the Shams Dubai programme reached a cumulative capacity of 500 MW, indicating a growing awareness and adoption of renewable energy sources in the region.
With its focus on delivering innovative and sustainable solar solutions, SirajPower is well-positioned to continue leading the way in the region's renewable energy sector. The company's latest project at Al Tajir Glass Industries demonstrates the significant potential for solar energy in the UAE, and highlights the importance of investing in clean, sustainable energy solutions for a better, more sustainable future.
