Uzbekistan has committed to increasing its renewable energy capacity to 40% by 2030, according to an announcement from the president's office. This year, the country plans to integrate the initial 2.6 GW of 14 solar and wind power plants into its grid, which will raise the contribution of renewable sources to its overall electricity output
