envia Mitteldeutsche Energie AG (enviaM), a regional energy company based in Germany, has partnered with the Development Bank of Saxony (SAB) to undertake the construction of a solar farm in the German state of Saxony, boasting an installable capacity of at least 30 megawatts peak (MWp).
Situated in the municipality of Mockrehna, the solar facility is slated to attain ready-to-build status by the latter half of 2024, as disclosed in a press statement issued on Monday.
The project will be executed through a collaborative joint venture named EPE Energiepark Elbeland GmbH & Co KG. Project development responsibilities have been entrusted to the local firm THERM GmbH.
Once operational, the solar plant is expected to supply clean energy to local industries, thereby contributing significantly to the region's decarbonization efforts.
