UK energy regulator Ofgem announced on Friday its issuance of an electricity generation license to Statkraft AS for its 48-MW Mossy Hill wind farm on Scotland’s Shetland islands. Planned for construction outside Lerwick, the wind park is set to feature 12 turbines, projected to generate electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of over 34,000 homes.
