Full Circle Wind Services Commences Operations and Maintenance at Strathallan Wind Farm in Scotland

Wind Services has initiated operations and maintenance activities for four Enercon turbines at the Strathallan wind farm in , marking a significant stride in bolstering in the region.

The commencement follows the signing of a new long-term operations and maintenance contract between Full Circle and Zephyrus Green Energy, facilitated by GreenCat Renewables, a Scottish-based renewable energy consultancy firm.

Under the contract, Full Circle will provide comprehensive scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, along with 24/7 remote monitoring services for four Enercon E-70 turbines, collectively boasting a capacity of 9.2MW.

Situated in Perthshire, the Strathallan wind farm represents a notable endeavor, with wind turbines sourced from decommissioned sites in the and refurbished by Business in Wind before being re-installed and commissioned.

Expressing delight at the partnership, Billy Stevenson, CEO of Full Circle Wind Services, affirmed, “This new contract is yet another vote of confidence in Full Circle's expertise and professionalism in multi-brand O&M service.”

Stevenson emphasized the company's commitment to ensuring optimal performance of the Enercon turbines, thereby contributing to the energy supply to the Scottish grid.

Gavin Catto, CEO of Green Cat Group, lauded the innovative approach adopted at Strathallan, highlighting plans for co-located generation of electrolytic hydrogen alongside the wind project. He remarked, “This use of co-located technologies, and the use of second-hand machines, are just some of the innovative ways we are responding to the changing needs and economics of the energy industry in Scotland.”

The collaboration between Full Circle Wind Services, Green Cat Renewables, and Zephyrus Green Energy underscores a shared commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions while embracing innovative approaches to address evolving industry dynamics.
