Renewables developer The Blue Circle, headquartered in Singapore, has forged an agreement with China's Goldwind Science & Technology Co Ltd to procure turbines for a significant wind project in the Philippines.
As outlined in the agreement, Goldwind will handle the supply, commissioning, and servicing of turbines for The Blue Circle's Kalayaan 2 project, situated in Laguna Province.
The deal encompasses the delivery and installation of 17 units of the GW 165-6.0 MW wind turbines, along with a ten-year service agreement.
Kalayaan 2 is poised to emerge as one of the largest wind farms in the Philippines, according to The Blue Circle. The company anticipates achieving commercial operation status for the project by mid-2026.
Marking The Blue Circle's debut venture in the Philippines, the project is already in progress, as confirmed by Spanish renewables giant Acciona Energia, an investor in The Blue Circle.
