Deme’s Offshore Energy Business Sees Strong Growth in Q1 Turnover

Deme's offshore energy business has reported a robust first quarter, with a turnover of €390m, marking a significant increase from €279m in the same period last year. The company attributes this growth to efficient project execution and favorable comparisons with the previous year.

During the first quarter, Deme achieved notable milestones in various offshore wind projects. In , the offshore energy division completed monopile installation works for the project. The floating installation ‘Orion' played a key role in installing 29 XXL monopiles using vibro-hammer technology, while the vessel ‘Apollo' began the installation of transition pieces for the same project.

In France, Deme concluded wind turbine installation work for the Fecamp offshore wind farm and commenced the Ile d'Yeu and Noirmoutier projects. These projects will utilize Deme's unique drilling technology previously deployed for the Saint-Nazaire project.

Taiwan also witnessed significant progress, with Deme's floating offshore installation vessel, ‘Green Jade', completing its first assignment by installing jacket foundations for the Zhong Neng project. Additionally, the offshore energy division initiated the by preparing the seabed and installing pinpiles for the first jacket locations.

The strong performance of Deme's offshore energy business underscores the company's commitment to driving innovation and delivering on key milestones in the sector. As the demand for offshore wind projects continues to grow globally, Deme is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities and contribute to the expansion of sustainable energy sources.
