Taiwan's landscape witnessed a significant milestone with the installation of the first turbine at the Zhongneng wind project. Spearheaded by (CIP) and Steel, the project marks a substantial step forward in the nation's renewable energy ambitions.

Comprising 31 V174-9.5MW turbines, the Zhongneng wind farm is poised to make a substantial contribution to Taiwan's renewable energy capacity. The installation of the inaugural turbine signals the commencement of a comprehensive turbine installation campaign, with the project slated for completion by the year's end.

“The installation of the first turbine has set a solid base for the ongoing turbine installation campaign,” remarked Chairman Wang Shyi-chin of the Zhongneng project. “We look forward to contributing to Taiwan's renewable energy development through the construction of Zhongneng while meeting stringent localization requirements at the same time.”

The Zhongneng offshore wind project represents a collaborative effort between international and local entities, underscoring Taiwan's commitment to leveraging global expertise while fostering domestic participation in renewable energy initiatives.
