Vesper Energy, a leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale renewable energy assets, has finalized the sale of its 100MW Deer Creek Renewable Energy project to an undisclosed Fortune 500 energy company. This transaction marks a significant step for Vesper Energy, underscoring its presence in crucial renewable energy markets like California.
Mark Rostafin, co-chief executive at Vesper Energy, commented on the sale: “We are pleased with the completion of the Deer Creek Renewable Energy project sale, highlighting Vesper Energy's steady growth and development portfolio in key renewable energy markets such as California. Located on 378 acres in Tulare County, California, the Deer Creek Renewable Energy project comprises both solar and storage components, with a combined potential generating capacity of up to 50MWac solar and 50MW of energy storage capacity. This divestment aligns with Vesper Energy's overarching mission to utilize technology and strategic collaborations in advancing clean energy infrastructure throughout the United States.
The sale reflects Vesper Energy's commitment to supporting California's clean energy transition, particularly within Tulare County, where the company is actively developing two additional projects. Such efforts align with California's ambitious goal of achieving 100% zero-carbon energy planning by 2045.
