Austrian solar manufacturer Sonnenkraft has unveiled its latest offering, the “Terracotta” solar panel, aimed at providing a harmonious blend of tradition and technology in architectural settings. These panels are designed to complement red-tiled roofs, offering an alternative for those seeking both aesthetic appeal and energy efficiency.
Peter Prasser, Managing Director of Sonnenkraft, highlighted the company's objective: “With our new solar module ‘Terracotta,' produced in Austria, we aim to promote the compatibility of monument preservation and sustainable energy production.”
The 400W double-glass solar panels feature red frames and hold general building approval from the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt). Utilizing TopCon solar cells, they boast a power conversion efficiency of 20.02%, aligning with industry standards.
