German heat pump installation firm Thermondo announced on Friday its strategic move to acquire local photovoltaic (PV) company Febesol, marking a significant step towards building a comprehensive climate-neutral solution portfolio.
Established in 2009, Febesol specializes in the installation of photovoltaic systems and boasts a workforce of approximately 160 employees. Operating primarily in the regions of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Hesse in southwestern Germany, Febesol has established itself as a key player in the local renewable energy market.
The acquisition of Febesol positions Thermondo to provide an integrated services package encompassing heat pump and photovoltaics installations. By leveraging Febesol's expertise and regional presence, Thermondo aims to expand its offerings over time, ultimately providing nationwide installation services for a range of climate-neutral living solutions, including heat pumps, photovoltaics, wall boxes, and home energy management systems.
“We are excited to announce our agreement to acquire Febesol, as it aligns perfectly with our strategic vision to offer comprehensive climate-neutral solutions to our customers,” commented a spokesperson from Thermondo.
With the acquisition expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, Thermondo is poised to strengthen its position in the renewable energy market and accelerate the adoption of sustainable technologies across Germany.
