Island Green Power (IGP) has announced significant leadership changes, appointing Bob Psaradellis as the new chief executive and Steve Bowler as the chief financial officer.
In addition to these appointments, IGP has strengthened its senior leadership team with three internal promotions. Dave Elvin has been named chief development officer, Chandni Ruparelia as chief operating officer, and Alessio Aru as chief technical officer.
The newly appointed team, based in the UK, will spearhead IGP's efforts as it continues to advance its impressive pipeline of grid-secured solar (9GW) and battery (12.5GW) projects totaling 21.5GW.
Founded in 2012 by Ian Lawrie, Colm Killeen, and Denis O'Brien, IGP has made significant strides in the renewable energy sector. While Lawrie and Killeen will step back from day-to-day management, they will remain actively involved in strategic growth initiatives and retain their roles as significant shareholders and key members of the Board of Directors.
Commenting on the leadership transition, outgoing chief executive Ian Lawrie expressed confidence in the new appointments, stating, “I am confident that Bob and Steve will build on that solid foundation and that Dave, Chandni, and Alessio will continue IGP's mission to deliver best in class renewable energy projects.”
Incoming chief executive Bob Psaradellis expressed his enthusiasm for leading IGP into its next phase of growth, praising the company's achievements under the guidance of its founders. Psaradellis stated, “Ian, Colm, and the IGP team have built an incredible company, and I am looking forward to leading IGP through its next phase of growth.”
Psaradellis also expressed excitement about collaborating with the newly appointed leadership team, highlighting their talent and collective vision for IGP's future endeavors.
