RTS Wind, a provider of turbine services based in the UK, has secured two expansive framework agreements with Orsted, a prominent Danish renewable energy company. The agreements, each spanning five years, will entail RTS Wind's provision of specialized blade services to support Orsted's extensive wind energy projects across the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, and Germany.
Michaela Gregory, Orsted's global lead category manager, highlighted the importance of blade care in maintaining operational efficiency, stating, “With the often-challenging offshore conditions out at sea, blade care is a vital part of our operations and we're delighted to be working again with RTS Wind to support both our UK and European portfolio with their solid expertise in this area.”
John Galliford, operations director at RTS Wind, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, remarking, “Leveraging our state-of-the-art technology and industry best practices, RTS Wind successfully delivered a full blade campaign for Orsted in 2023.” He further emphasized the company's commitment to providing seamless blade services, stating, “RTS Wind brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise, ensuring the seamless execution of blade services to our valued partners.”
Galliford also underscored RTS Wind's dedication to innovation and excellence, stating, “The incorporation of innovative solutions has always underscored our dedication to efficiency and excellence, and we are excited to bring new technologies to our partners this year, including our new internal blade inspection services.”
This milestone agreement solidifies RTS Wind's position as a key partner for Orsted in the delivery of blade services, reflecting the company's continued growth and investment in renewable energy sector expertise.
