Voltalia SA Reports 13% Increase in First-Quarter Revenues, Driven by Enhanced Power Production

SA announced a notable uptick in its first-quarter revenues, attributing the 13% surge to heightened power production and energy sales. The French company, specializing in , reported EUR 111.1 million (USD 119.2m) in revenues for the period, showcasing growth across multiple regions.

Europe emerged as a primary revenue contributor for Voltalia, accounting for 57% of the total, while Latin America and combined for 43%. The company's diversified geographical presence underscores its global operational footprint.

In detailing the revenue breakdown, Voltalia highlighted the performance of its energy sales segment, a key operational pillar. Revenues from this segment stood at EUR 74.9 million, marking a significant 20% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was primarily fueled by the successful commissioning of power plants in various locations, including , Albania, and , in 2023.

According to Voltalia, enhanced output from these newly commissioned plants offset any decline in load factors, contributing to the segment's robust performance. Additionally, the company reported steady growth in services revenues from third-party clients, signaling sustained demand for its offerings.

The company's expansion efforts were further underscored by its growing capacity in renewable energy generation. Voltalia reported a substantial increase in installed capacity, reaching 2,407 MW by the end of March, up from 1,637 MW a year prior. This expansion reflects Voltalia's commitment to scaling its operations and bolstering its position in the renewable energy market.

Looking ahead, Voltalia reaffirmed its ambitious targets for the year, aiming to achieve 3.3 GW of capacity in operation and under construction by the end of 2024. Additionally, the company aims to attain a target EBITDA of EUR 255 million, signaling its continued focus on sustainable growth and financial performance.
