Mainstream Renewable Power announced the appointment of Julie Berg as Chief Financial Officer, effective from the second quarter of 2024. Berg, who joins Mainstream from its sister company Aker Carbon Capture, where she served as Chief Financial Officer since December 2023, brings with her a wealth of experience spanning over 27 years in finance.
Berg takes over the role previously held by Paul Corrigan, who served as CFO at Mainstream since 2020. Corrigan will transition to a new role as Commercial Director, leveraging his expertise to oversee the company's commercial activities in its Latin American markets, particularly in Chile, where Mainstream operates 1GW of wind and solar assets. Notably, Corrigan led the successful reorganization of Mainstream's Energia portfolios in Chile in 2023.
With a background in key leadership positions within KPMG, including serving as the Head of KPMG's Audit & Assurance group in Oslo, Berg brings a blend of international experience within the energy and industrial sectors to her new role.
Mainstream's Group CEO, Mary Quaney, expressed her enthusiasm about Berg's appointment, stating, “I am delighted to welcome Julie to Mainstream. Julie is a highly accomplished leader in her field; she brings many years of experience including within the Aker group, and a passion for the energy transition. I very much look forward to working with her as we embark on the next exciting chapter in Mainstream's mission to lead the transition to renewable energy.”
