Fugro Awarded Contract for Offshore Wind Farm Site Investigation in Australia

, a leading geodata specialist, has recently been awarded a contract to perform an geotechnical site investigation for Australia's offshore wind project, Star of the South (SOTS). The is situated off the coast of Gippsland in southeastern Australia and is expected to have a significant impact on Victoria's energy sector, providing clean energy and reducing carbon emissions.

The SOTS Chief Executive Officer, Charles Rattray, stated that Fugro's ability to collect high-quality geophysical and geotechnical data while maintaining exemplary health, safety, security, and environmental standards were crucial factors in awarding the contract. Fugro's experience in working on offshore projects worldwide and delivering ground investigations safely and to the highest standard was also a significant factor in their selection.
