Kent has clinched a significant contract for the pre-front end engineering design (Pre-FEED) assessment of the Spiorad na Mara offshore wind project, boasting a capacity of 900MW. Situated off the western coast of the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, the project, formerly identified as N4, is jointly owned by Northland Power (75.5%) and ESB (24.5%).
The scope of Kent's engagement encompasses a meticulous evaluation of the wind turbine foundation concept, including selection and sizing of the foundations. Cerianne Cummings, UK Offshore Wind Director at Kent, expressed the company's pride in contributing to the advancement of the Spiorad na Mara offshore wind farm.
