Soltec Power Holdings SA, a prominent Spanish solar energy specialist, announced on Thursday that it has clinched a significant order to supply 367 megawatts (MW) worth of trackers for a solar project in Spain.
The supply contract was awarded by X-Elio, a renowned renewable energy developer based in Spain. X-Elio intends to utilize the trackers for its Lorca solar project, situated in the Murcia region of Spain.
The Lorca plant is set to be equipped with a total of 5,948 solar trackers, with Soltec providing its innovative SFOne product. Designed as a single-row, dual-axis tracker with a low profile, the SFOne tracker minimizes visual impact while maximizing efficiency.
Soltec further disclosed its involvement in the field testing of the project and the technical specifications of the plant, underscoring its comprehensive approach to project development.
Delivery of the tracker supplies is slated to commence by the end of February, with the Lorca solar farm projected to generate 748 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of power during its inaugural year of operation, according to Soltec.
