Prysmian, a player in the energy and telecommunications cable systems industry, has announced the appointment of Massimo Battaini as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and General Manager. This move marks the implementation of the company's new organizational structure, designed to support its strategic plan and drive value creation.
The newly established organizational framework, unveiled in December, consists of four distinct business units: transmission, power grid, electrification, and digital solutions. This strategic alignment aims to ensure comprehensive coverage of key market trends related to the energy transition and digital transformation, while also supporting Prysmian's ambitious growth objectives.
In addition to the four business units, Prysmian's matrix structure encompasses nine geographical regions, underscoring the company's commitment to remaining closely attuned to local markets and customers. This regional approach is intended to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Massimo Battaini remarked, “I am very proud and honored of my appointment as chief executive and general manager. Aware of the great responsibility they have entrusted me with, I wish to thank all the shareholders for their trust and support.”
Battaini expressed confidence in the capabilities of Prysmian's team and emphasized the company's commitment to market leadership and innovation. “I am certain that, thanks to the team of extraordinary managers who will work with me, we will be able to support our ambitions and the challenges we take on as market leaders,” he said.
“Our People's competence and passion and our new organization will allow us to be increasingly effective on the market and also to welcome with enthusiasm Encore team,” Battaini added.
