Chinese solar energy giant Trina Solar has announced a significant milestone on Thursday, revealing a master sales agreement with Philippine renewable power producer PetroGreen Energy Corp (PGEC) for the supply of 177 MW of solar modules.
Under the agreement, PetroGreen's subsidiary, Rizal Green Energy Corp, will deploy the Trina Solar modules in solar projects located in San Jose municipality, Nueva Ecija, and in the provinces of Pangasinan and Isabela in the Philippines. These projects are poised to feature over 129,000 Trina Solar modules, marking a substantial contribution to the region's renewable energy infrastructure.
The collaboration between Trina Solar and PetroGreen dates back to 2015, with the partnership extending to various renewable energy projects across the Philippines. Notable among these projects is the 27-MW Dagohoy solar farm on the island of Bohol, which features Trina modules and is slated for completion later this year.
Highlighting the flexibility afforded by the master sales agreement, PetroGreen will have the opportunity to select the most suitable modules for each specific project, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
