Natural Power Appoints Clare Horner as Director of Onshore Consenting and Environment

, a consultancy, has named Clare Horner as the Director of Onshore Consenting and Environment. Horner brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Onshore Renewables Team Lead and Associate Partner at ERM.

In her new role, Horner will oversee onshore planning projects for all renewable energy technologies across the UK and . This includes managing the onshore components of projects, such as grid connections and substations.

With a background in geography and as a Chartered Landscape Architect, Horner has amassed over 20 years of experience in landscape and visual impact assessment for the onshore renewables sector, as well as in development consent order applications for projects.

Horner expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “I'm looking forward to working with the onshore team, creating an environment for them to thrive and fulfil their potential, and building on their passion for renewable energy, cultivating this talented team which is equipped with the skills and expertise to drive success for our clients.”

Rob Brown, Managing Director at Natural Power, welcomed Horner's appointment, noting its significance in leading the company's Onshore Consenting and Environment department. Brown emphasized the importance of Horner's role in expanding the company's capacity and specialist skills in onshore planning, which is crucial for the continued growth of their global team.
