Chinese solar products manufacturer JA Solar Technology Co Ltd (SHE:002459) announced on Thursday the delivery of the initial 5.2 MW batch of modules to SK E&S, an energy subsidiary of South Korean conglomerate SK Group, in accordance with their memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Per the MoU, JA Solar is set to supply a total of 200 MW of its n-type modules, with SK E&S exclusively utilizing JA Solar's n-type DeepBlue 4.0 series modules.
JA Solar's DeepBlue 4.0 product incorporates the company's proprietary high-efficiency n-type Bycium+ passivated contact cell technology, boasting an output efficiency of 26% and an open-circuit voltage of 733 mV. The module also features core technologies such as SMBB and high-density packaging, enhancing overall performance and efficiency, according to JA Solar.
With a power output of 635 W and an efficiency of 22.8%, JA Solar describes it as “the most powerful product within the industry's 182-series modules.”
This agreement signifies the first collaboration between JA Solar and SK Group. JA Solar initially entered the South Korean market in 2011 and established a subsidiary there in 2018.
