Argentine solar projects developer 360Energy has announced the commercial operation date (COD) of its 22-MW La Rioja II solar farm in Argentina's La Rioja province, marking a significant milestone in the company's renewable energy portfolio expansion.
Part of a larger solar complex slated to reach 122 MW, La Rioja II is located on nearly 300 hectares (741.3 acres) of unused land in the municipality of Nonogasta. The solar farm is expected to generate approximately 55 GWh of electricity annually, contributing to Argentina's renewable energy goals.
360Energy's CEO commented on the achievement, stating, “We are proud to announce the commercial operation of La Rioja II, which underscores our commitment to advancing renewable energy in Argentina. This milestone marks our third solar farm to reach COD in 2024, following the successful launch of La Rioja III and Canada Honda IV earlier this year.”
