Atlas Renewable Energy Signs Landmark PPA for Chilean Battery Energy Storage System

Atlas has inked a significant (PPA) for a cutting-edge battery energy storage system (BESS) being developed alongside Chilean partner COPEC. The PPA spans an impressive 15-year term.

Situated adjacent to Atlas' Sol del Desierto solar plant in Maria Elena, within Chile's Antofagasta region, the BESS del Desierto project is set to become one of 's and Chile's largest energy storage endeavors. Boasting an installed capacity of 200MW and a storage capacity of 800 megawatt hours, this standalone battery system is poised to revolutionize energy storage in the region.
