TotalEnergies Expands Renewable Portfolio with Acquisition of Dehesa Nueva del Rey Solar Park in Spain

has bolstered its renewable energy footprint with the of the 59MW Dehesa Nueva del Rey park in from developer Synergia, the company announced on Thursday.

Once operational, the Dehesa Nueva del Rey solar park, adorned with more than 95,000 panels, is poised to generate sufficient electricity to fulfill the annual consumption needs of over 33,000 homes, underscoring TotalEnergies' commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

This strategic acquisition aligns seamlessly with TotalEnergies' ambitious renewable energy agenda, complementing its existing portfolio of solar projects across Madrid, Murcia, Andalusia, Aragon, and Castilla La Mancha, totaling 3GW with environmental permits.

Yago Mancebo Ferreiro, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Renewables Spain, emphasized the company's dedication to driving Spain's energy transition, stating, “TotalEnergies has made a firm commitment to contribute to Spain's energy transition with the promotion of renewable energies.
