Alupar Investimento SA Receives Approval for Pitombeira Solar Power Plant in Brazil

Alupar Investimento SA, a notable Brazilian company, has recently announced the receipt of regulatory approval to commence commercial operations at its Pitombeira power plant, boasting a capacity of 61.7 megawatts peak (MWp), located in the northeastern state of Ceara.

Strategically situated within the 98.7-megawatt Energia dos Ventos wind power complex in the municipality of Aracati, this (PV) facility represents a significant addition to Alupar's portfolio. Constructed at a total investment outlay of BRL 249.5 million (equivalent to approximately USD 50.3 million or EUR 46.7 million), the Pitombeira solar project underscores the company's commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions.

The solar segment of this innovative hybrid complex encompasses 114,000 PV panels distributed across 14 power generation units, as outlined in the authorization decree published by 's energy regulatory authority, Aneel.

With this latest achievement, Alupar continues its contribution to Brazil's renewable energy sector, aiming to diversify the country's energy mix and support environmental sustainability.
