Siemens Gamesa has announced the departure of its first B108 blades from its offshore blade factory in Hull, UK, destined for the 882MW Moray West offshore wind power project off the coast of Scotland.
These 108-meter-long blades, among the largest produced in the UK, surpass the length of Wembley Stadium's football pitch and are specifically engineered to withstand harsh offshore conditions.
