Telis Energy, Backed by Carlyle, Enters Italian Market with 3 GW Renewable Energy Initiative

, a prominent European renewables development platform supported by private equity giant Carlyle (NASDAQ:CG), has made its debut in the Italian market with the launch of a dedicated subsidiary aiming to develop 3 gigawatts (GW) of storage and hybrid renewable energy projects.

The newly established entity, named Telis Energy Italy, will concentrate on advancing and various other renewable energy technologies while integrating them with energy storage solutions, the company announced.

Leading the charge in Italy is Marco Petrone, a seasoned figure with over 15 years of experience in the global renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Emphasizing Italy's significant potential and the growing demand for energy storage solutions, Petrone stated, “We have already originated over 1,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of standalone battery storage projects and over 100 megawatts-peak (MWp) of hybrid renewable energy schemes across multiple Italian regions.”

Telis Energy, established in late 2022 in London, aims to build a project pipeline exceeding 10 GW by 2030. The company currently operates in key European markets, including the United Kingdom, , , and now Italy.
