In its latest round of bidding, the French Commission for the Regulation of Energy (CRE) has designated 1007MW of onshore wind projects, marking a significant step towards bolstering France's renewable energy infrastructure. The projects were awarded at an average price of €87.23MWh, reflecting competitive pricing within the sector.
Among the recipients, RWE has emerged as a key player, securing contracts for eight projects with a combined capacity of 108.7MW. These projects are predominantly situated in northern France, spanning the Hauts-de-France and Normandy regions. Initial commissioning is slated for 2025, with operations expected to continue until 2028.
