French Energy Regulatory Commission Allocates 1007MW Onshore Wind Projects

In its latest round of bidding, the French Commission for the Regulation of Energy (CRE) has designated 1007MW of wind projects, marking a significant step towards bolstering 's renewable energy . The projects were awarded at an average price of €87.23MWh, reflecting competitive pricing within the sector.

Among the recipients, RWE has emerged as a key player, securing contracts for eight projects with a combined capacity of 108.7MW. These projects are predominantly situated in northern France, spanning the Hauts-de-France and Normandy regions. Initial commissioning is slated for 2025, with operations expected to continue until 2028.
