Ineos Inovyn has announced the forthcoming activation of its 60MW solar farm in Belgium, slated for July 2024.
Collaborating with PerPetum Energy & Green4Power, the project marks a pioneering endeavor by Ineos Inovyn to bolster its environmental commitment while ensuring operational efficiency. The solar farm will exclusively power the Jemeppe production site, a cornerstone facility employing over 540 individuals.

This initiative aligns seamlessly with Ineos's overarching decarbonization strategy, aiming to curtail CO2 emissions by more than 30% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero status by 2050. By leveraging renewable energy sources, Ineos Inovyn seeks to furnish customers with sustainable, low-carbon products, thereby catalyzing the transition towards a Net Zero economy.
Expressing pride in this transformative initiative, Philippe Taranti, Director at the Jemeppe site, remarked, “I am proud of the industry leadership we are showing. Ineos products play a vital role across modern life and this new solar farm gives us competitive access to local renewable energy.”

PerPetum Energy assumes responsibility for the project's construction, commissioning, and maintenance, acting on behalf of Green4Power, the project's financier and owner.
In a pivotal agreement, Ineos Inovyn secures a power purchase agreement to procure all green electricity generated by the Jemeppe-sur-Sambre solar farm over the next 15 years.
