Building on earlier commitments, retail giants under the Schwarz Group umbrella, such as Lidl and Kaufland, had already secured a supply agreement for electricity from Kaskasi in the spring of 2023.

The majority of these contracts span a duration of 10 years and offer various options including direct purchase of electricity, scheduled deliveries aligned with wind farm production, or a structured approach ensuring a steady volume of electricity supply.

The initial electricity delivery is scheduled for 2026, with subsequent contracts set for 2027 and 2028. With these agreements in place, the entire capacity of electricity available for PPAs from Kaskasi has been fully allocated.

Situated approximately 35km off the coast of , Kaskasi comprises 38 turbines capable of powering around 400,000 households annually with clean energy. The wind farm forms part of the Helgoland Cluster alongside the Amrumbank and Nordsee Ost projects, with Kaskasi commencing regular operations in the spring of 2023.
