Spanish solar racking solutions manufacturer Gonvarri Solar Steel has been awarded a contract to supply 220 MW of solar trackers for three plants owned by multi-energy group Repsol SA throughout Spain.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gonvarri Solar Steel will deliver 4,278 of its TracSmarT+ 1V single-row and dual-row devices, as disclosed in a statement released today.
These solar trackers will be deployed across three sites with respective power generating capacities of 120 MW, 50 MW, and 50 MW. Once operational, these facilities are projected to generate sufficient electricity to power approximately 127,000 households annually.
The contract with Repsol follows Gonvarri Solar Steel's announcement in December of an order for over 1.1 GW of its trackers and fixed structures for various projects across Spain.
Simultaneously, Repsol recently commenced power production at its third solar project in Spain, the 204-MW Sigma solar photovoltaic (PV) complex, earlier this year.
